Partners & Collaborations
We have a wide range of partnerships & collaborations with a growing number of art & design institutions across the world. Some of our courses are taught entirely in your home country by our staff with support from partner institutions. Some partner instituions also have a licence to deliver our courses in full. This enables you to gain a Sheffield Hallam University award without travelling to the UK.
We also allow students who have studied at some of our partner institutions to apply for entry onto Sheffield Hallam degrees with prior credit or study exemptions. You can find a list of some of our partner institutions below.
- China – We have many partnership institutions situated in China. These include the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT), Aceleader Culture & Education Consultant Co Ltd, China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), Yunnan Arts Institute, Yideago Education Arts International and the Zhejiang University of Media and Communications. - Malaysia – Our main partnership in Malaysia is the International University (INTI) where we offer opportunites to complete a Sheffield Hallam University honours degrees at INTI International University & Colleges, Malaysia. Our residential summer schools offer a first-class learning experience as well as a real taste of university life. Our tutors are experienced teachers and researchers and you benefit from their expertise. You also have the opportunity to visit different UK cities.
On the course, you experience what it's like to study on courses at the Sheffield Institute of Arts, part of Sheffield Hallam University. It is two weeks classroom based then a one week cultural tour.
During the summer school, you are offered a number of projects tailored to your educational level – undergraduate or postgraduate. The projects focus on opportunities to build skills and gain an understanding of UK education.

International Foundation Programme
The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is designed to support international and EU (non-UK) students to meet the academic and English language entry qualifications required for our undergraduate degrees. On successful completion, you are qualified to progress onto a choice of more than 60 undergraduate degree programmes. Erasmus+ and Exchange Opportunities
International experience helps you to develop both personally and professionally. Many of our courses provide the opportunity to study abroad for three months or up to a year and earn credit towards a final qualification. There are also opportunities to work abroad as part of an exchange programme.

Exchange Opportunities at Sheffield Hallam for International Students
Sheffield Hallam is a great place to come if you want to do an exchange here. We have been supporting students wanting to study with us through an exchange for many years and are able to offer exchanges on a variety of courses.
Within the faculty of arts, engineering, computing and sciences (ACES) we welcome a wide variety of students of different nationalities, ages and professional backgrounds. Our teaching combines traditional lectures with practical sessions, and our students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning through hands-on experiences, live projects, industry guest speakers etc.
The Faculty is supported by some of the best staff, facilities and equipment in the UK; we have strong connections with industry and have developed a number of successful partnerships with Network Rail, Rolls Royce, ROMPA, CISCO and Microsoft, Adidas, Gillette, Matsushita, Marks & Spencer, Spear and Jackson, Umbro and Unilever to name but a few.
