Our Sheffield Institute of Arts Gallery showcases the very best work by members of our community and visiting artists.
We offer a programme of changing exhibitions, across art, design and media. Past exhibitors have included David Mellor, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Charles Atlas, Ken Garland, Lance Wyman, Laurie Anderson, George Grosz as well as many of our own staff and students.
Admission to all events is free.
During exhibitions, the gallery is open 10am-5pm Monday-Friday, and until 10am-4pm on Saturdays. Outside business hours you may be asked to sign in the building.
Our café is open Monday-Friday and serving barista coffee, a range of hot and cold drinks, cakes, pastries and sandwiches and paninis.
We are closed on public holidays, and on other dates when the University is closed.
How to find us
We are on Fitzalan Square – on the ground floor of the Sheffield Institute of Arts in the historic Post Hall – the original Post Office counter area which still preserves its beautiful mosaic floor.
