In collaboration with Yorkshire Artspace the Stars on Starting Out series will be taking place from April to December 2018 and will feature the great and good from the creative sector - from fine art, design and contemporary craft to fashion and film. As part of the Stars on Starting Out series Paula will share her experiences and career journey.

For four decades Paula Scher has been at the forefront of graphic design. Described as the “master conjurer of the instantly familiar,” Scher straddles the line between pop culture and fine art in her work. Iconic, smart, and accessible, her images have entered into the American vernacular.
She has been a principal in the New York office of the distinguished international design consultancy Pentagram since 1991, where she has designed identity and branding systems, environmental graphics, packaging and publicationsfor a wide range of household name clients.
During the course of her career Scher has been the recipient of hundreds of industry honors and awards; she is a recipient of the National Design Award for Communication Design, the AIGA medal and the Chrysler Award for Innovation in Design, among others and is also an established artist exhibiting worldwide.
