Virtual Summit

Active Project:
Cross Curriculum

Virtual Summit is a personal development activity tool that encourages young people to set realistic goals.

Using stages to work towards an end result, the project is based on the idea of climbing Mount Everest.

Central to Virtual Summit is the process of picking the right challenge in the first place and acknowledging that we all have our own mountain to climb.

Based on motivation techniques developed by colleagues in the Centre for Sport and Exercise Science, this project is a collaboration between SHU specialists and the RAF.

As a result, students completing the challenge are more prepared for planning their next steps in education, training and life.

The content has been used by schools in PE, Careers Education and STEM subjects and can be delivered in after school activities or through the curriculum. To access the resources go to the Virtual Summit website.
