Del Roy Fletcher - Sheffield Hallam University


Del Roy Fletcher is a professor of labour market studies at the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research. He has extensive experience of conducting research exploring the difficulties faced by severely disadvantaged groups in the labour market and the evaluation of pilot programmes. He has authored 28 academic publications including 21 articles in peer-reviewed academic journals. Del has particular research interests in worklessness and labour market disadvantage;  offenders in the post-industrial labour market and the role and impact of welfare conditionality. He is currently leading Sheffield Hallam University’s input into a major five year ESRC research programme exploring sanctioning and support in the UK welfare system which is being conducted by a team drawn from six English and Scottish Universities.
