Mentoring teachers of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Further Education in England

The project examines mentoring and the potential for external mentoring in FE. The research involves three elements.

1) A review of existing research literature on mentoring and other support for the professional learning and development (PLD) of FE teachers.
2) Individual face-to-face interviews with a sample of potential beneficiaries of a mentoring programme and of more senior colleagues who are line managers and/or mentors of such teachers.
3) A national online survey of FE teachers across England.
