Sophie’s research is in the broad area of contemporary British theatre history, specifically around the work of women playwrights in the 1970s and 1980s. She is a leading expert on the work of playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker, and has also published on playwrights Caryl Churchill and Charlotte Keatley. As well as traditional academic writing, she produces GCSE and A Level Student Guides and Editions of set texts.
