Sheffield's biggest student-led exhibition launches this week, showcasing talent from creative art, design, fashion, photography, film and animation at Sheffield Hallam University.

The Sheffield Institute of Arts (SIA) at Hallam opens its doors to the public on Saturday 10 June for its 2017 Degree Show at venues across the campus, including the home of SIA - the former Head Post Office in Fitzalan Square.

With origins dating back to 1843, Sheffield Institute of Arts is at the heart of Sheffield's creative community, and has produced many successful artists.

Professor Sally Wade, director of SIA, said: "The annual Degree Show is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come and see some really creative work by students of nearly 20 different disciplines.

"Last year was one of our best Degree Shows yet, and was voted one of the top ten student shows to see last year, and we have ambitions to make this year's bigger and better."

"Every year we attract the attention of leading national figures in the creative industries, as well as art lovers from across the region."

One of the highlights of the Degree Show, which runs until 23 June, is the fashion show in SIA's gallery on Friday 16 June, featuring the outstanding designs from this year's crop of students.

The Degree Show is one of the biggest student exhibitions in the North, and attracts interest from national industry experts as well as those with an interest in the arts. The 2017 exhibition includes work from the following disciplines:
