Issued:18/06/15

Professor Sam Twiselton, director of our new Sheffield Institute of Education, responds to comments made by Heeley MP Louise Haigh about Sheffield facing a teaching crisis, particularly in maths and science.

Professor Twiselton suggests the problem is not Sheffield's alone, and points to several schemes which the SIOE is operating to boost teacher numbers.
