Steven’s expertise includes existentialism, realism and creative writing. He is currently working on the figure of ‘the Existential Alcoholic’ and is also researching a longer-term project on names and naming. Past work has focused on postmodernism and on literary theory. In 2011 he won the Brontë Society Prize for best essay.
