Games Britannia, one of the UK's longest running videogame education festivals, returned to Sheffield Hallam University this month. The festival, which includes workshops and exhibitions, brings creativity and technology together, providing schools, colleges and students with activities led by games industry experts and the University's academics.

The Games Republic Student Showcase, the first event of the festival, was covered extensively by BBC Look North, who visited the show and spoke to head of department Jake Habgood, as well as an alumnus who now works at Sumo Digital. David Wilson, course leader, was also interviewed by BBC Radio Sheffield on the same day.
