Dr Sunita Toor is a principal lecturer in criminology at Sheffield Hallam.
Her research interests include: race, ethnicity, culture and crime; gender and crime/criminal justice; human rights of women and children, criminological theories; international crime and justice; comparative criminologies and criminal justice; philosophies of research and the use of qualitative methods in criminological research.
Suni leads the #justiceforher project to fight gender-based violence in India. She trains police officers to help victims of sexual and domestic abuse.
Suni received national media coverage for her work on the Justice for Her project in India.
