Craig worked for Group 4 Securicor for three years on the UK electronic offender monitoring programme, leaving in 2001 to do his PhD on the role of surveillance technologies in criminal justice.
Craig's teaching and research interests include surveillance and commercial crime control, policing, crime prevention and criminological theory.
He is a frequent commentator on police, particular in relation to policing cuts and strike action, making his debut on the Look North sofa earlier this year.
