The marketing department at Sheffield Hallam University are celebrating after a double win for their online prospectus at the marketing industry's top awards.
 
The prospectus won the public sector education award and the Chairman's Award at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Excellence Awards 2011.

The annual awards celebrate outstanding marketing achievements in the UK, recognising entries that demonstrate insightful strategic thinking and innovation.

The Sheffield Hallam team saw off competition from large blue-chip companies, with much bigger marketing budgets, to take home the Chairman's Award, which recognises the overall best project amongst the winners.

Judges at the awards called the prospectus “an excellent project with superb delivery and return on investment. The team have created an online prospectus with a difference.”

Ivor Lawrence, director of marketing at Sheffield Hallam, said: "This is a huge achievement for the department and professional recognition for the hard work that has gone into developing the online prospectus.

"We know it is a convenient way for prospective students to compare and contrast courses online, without having to sift through lots of pages of information."
