Our Sheffield Institute of Arts Gallery showcases the very best work by members of our community and visiting artists.
We offer a programme of changing exhibitions, ranging from historic graphic design to contemporary fine art. Past exhibitors have included David Mellor, Jake and Dinos Chapman and Ken Garland.
Admission to all events is free.
During exhibitions, the gallery is open 10am–5.00pm Monday to Friday, and 10.am–4.00 pm on Saturdays, Outside business hours you may be asked to sign in to the building.
We are closed on public holidays, and on other dates when the University is closed.
How to find us
We are on the ground floor of the Sheffield Institute of Arts Building, Fitzalan Square. We also put on exhibitions at venues across the city. In 2018 we're running a programme of exhibitions at Persistence Works, in partnership with Yorkshire Artspace.

We welcome applications from artists and other organisations for exhibitions in our gallery spaces.
Exhibitions are typically planned up to 18 months in advance, and we consider proposals at dedicated selection board meetings, four times a year. Contact us using the details below for more information.
