Claire Wolstenholme joined the Centre in May 2006, with a background in psychology her interests include social and educational policy and the wider aspects of education and wellbeing for young people. During her time working in CEIR Claire has had extensive experience in a large variety of research methods, however she has a particular focus on qualitative fieldwork and analysis, including conducting large numbers of in depth case studies, and more recently developing and using innovative methods with young children.

Claire's recent work involves focussing on STEM subjects within schools, she is part of the Science and Innovation observatory which is a joint venture with the Centre for Science Education and is also leading the qualitative strand of an evaluation for the National Science Learning Centre.

Claire is currently also working part time towards a Masters of Research in social theory, policy and planning.
