#FreshersToFinals: Understanding LGBT people’s perspectives on higher education

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* (LGBT) young people are increasingly visible in policy and practice, often in relation to homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. However, this can result in misunderstandings and/or over-simplification about all LGBT students’ needs and experiences (who may or may not be ‘young’). The #Fresherstofinals project is being undertaken by Sheffield Hallam University and seeks to develop a fuller understanding of LGBT perceptions and experiences of higher education.

The project will culminate in two free events - booking is now open! Further details at the links below:

Manchester July 17th

Sheffield July 24th

The events are designed to feedback on the #FreshersToFinals project, and explore the implications for practice.
