Katherine has extensive experience of conducting research and evaluation work across the UK criminal justice sector. She has conducted research across the prison estate, from male high security to Mother and Baby Unit provision within the female custodial sector.

Katherine's expertise ranges from the impact of creative arts provision, restorative justice projects and intensive alternatives to custody initiatives. Most recently Katherine has conducted life history research with military veterans with criminal justice and recovery service engagement and evaluated a veteran-specific recovery service.

Katherine is an active member of the Armed Forces Community Covenant initiative.
